About Dr. Daniela (Donna) Angheluta

I have been in Colorado for a few years, still exploring and learning the land. Prior to my move I spent almost 2 years in South America where I worked, traveled and learned Spanish. I also had my own acupuncture and massage practice in Florida for about 15 years. The mountains and the cooler air here are a welcome change for me.

Schoolwise, I have received the second professional doctorate, the DAOM (Doctor in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and my Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture, graduated in 2003, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from UCLA. My massage therapy training happened at the Institute for Psycho-Structural Balancing in Los Angeles from which I graduated in 1999. I am board-certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM #23532) and licensed in the states of Colorado and Florida.

I do have a general practice, but I have more of an interest in injury rehabilitation, complex cases that Western medicine has not been able to help with, long-Covid syndrome (Covid long-haulers), PTSD and trauma - especially amongst veterans- and working with children and teens.

My philosophy is to provide minimal intervention, minimal number of needles and treatments, in order to undo old patterns so the patient can take over and continue the healing on their own. I view acupuncture as providing correction to someone’s out of balance qi, as well as support if they’re going through a tough transition. Regular maintenance prevents lapses and brings up red flags for any developing illness.

I am always available by phone, text or email for questions, suggestions, or any health inquiries you may have. I look forward to getting to know better the community in Eagle and Roaring Fork valleys.
