About Daniela (Donna) Angheluta
I have been in Colorado for a few years, still exploring and learning the land. Prior to my move I spent almost 2 years in South America where I worked and traveled, and prior to that I had my acupuncture and massage practice in Florida for about 15 years. The mountains and the cooler air here are a welcome change for me.
Schoolwise, I have received the second professional doctorate, the DAOM (Doctor in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and my Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture, graduated in 2003, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from UCLA. My massage therapy training happened at the Institute for Psycho-Structural Balancing in Los Angeles from which I graduated in 1999. I am board-certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM #23532).
I do have a general practice, but I have more of an interest in injury rehabilitation and conditions that have proven difficult to treat. My philosophy is to provide minimal and precise intervention in order to undo old patterns so the patient can take over and continue the healing on their own. Regular maintenance prevents lapses and brings up red flags.
I am always available by phone, text or email for questions, suggestions, or any health inquiries you may have. I look forward to getting to know better the community in Eagle and Roaring Fork valleys.
